A CHRISTIAN
FAMILY FRIENDLY ONLINE STREAMING FILM PROJECT
Casting age 18 – 30
SITCOM SYNOPSIS:
Pops is a single father. Who is raising two over achieving daughters that transition from high school to college. They moved them from a major city cross country to a suburban, rural state. The purpose of the move is to provide a simpler life and calling for the family. Laughter, fun and Hijinks ensue when the family seems to be put into circumstances that challenge their beliefs and family values. But they take it in stride and come out of the challenges with remarkable results. This project is based upon actual actual events.
EMMA: Female Teenager. An old soul, Emma dreams of a fashionable big city life. instead, her life has been uprooted by her father after a sudden move to what she views as back woods country living. Emma is usually the smartest and most level-headed person in the room. as a fish out of water in the small town, Emma makes the best of things with light humor, strong character and family values. comedy skills a must. dancing skills are a plus, but not required. Series Regular, lead.
CAYLE: Female Teenager. A confident and kindhearted female. an eternal optimist with the best intentions. Outwardly exudes the qualities of a quintessential athlete. Cayle’s training and accomplishments put her on track for the Olympics. With beauty and brains and athleticism she is a triple threat. Cayle is direct and always expresses an opinion. Cayle also feels the effect of the move but is determined to keep her school and life goals on track. Comedy skills a must. Must have athletic/sports abilities. Series regular, lead.
REECE: Male Teenager. a first cousin who is a local. He is excited to spend time with the cousins. He offers to help them adjust to their new surroundings and provides assistance in settling in. He is playing catch up with them and observes curious behavior about the extended family he is eager to know.
YOUTH PASTOR JOHN: He is super positive and religious. He has a curiosity and doesn’t let things go easily. He has Parkinson and it acts up from time to time but he views it “bearing his cross”. He believes that God doesn’t always heal and his suffering is something he has to deal with. When he is given the opposite of healing, he defends his position.
